Have you ever seen a more beautiful walkway to the pool?
Every time someone asks me to describe my trip to Miami I start with gushing over the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. If I had to so sum it up in one word? Paradise. The trendy yet sophisticated décor, perfectly picturesque walkways lined with palm tree’s, and the expansive property all make you feel transported into another world. I truly cannot say enough about the impressive property, attentive service, and delicious food! I’ve had a bunch of questions about my stay so I thought I’d do a resort review for anyone that’s planning an upcoming trip to Miami.
With the ongoing pandemic and current travel restrictions to the Caribbean, I set my sights on sunny South Beach Miami. My goal was to escape the bitter New England winter for a tropical oasis while still staying in the US. Flights to Miami are super affordable and taxi rides to south beach are under $40, making the travel costs minimal compared to other warm weather destinations. Plus saving on travel meant I was able to splurge on accommodations!
The Loews Miami Beach Hotel was one of the first hotels I looked into – and I’d say it was love at first sight. Right away it checked off everything on my list. Having multiple food options, a beachfront property, and a beautiful pool area were at the top of my list. Above all, I wanted a big property so I could feel content not going anywhere since I didn’t have a car. My friend and I both decided it was the perfect place, so finalized our plans and began the count down to our trip!

Our Room
We chose a Ocean Front Balcony room for our stay. The hotel offers a wide array of different room or suite options at all price points. Booking a ocean view balcony room would also give you a great view!
Being able to wake up and watch the sunrise over the water on your own private balcony was so relaxing. I saved a few videos of our room & the view (including the most beautiful sunrise) on my Instagram profile under the “Miami, FL” highlight.
Little things that are important to me and would be streamlined in every room were the toiletries, wall plugs, and bathroom lighting. The toiletries smelled amazing, their were enough plugs for my excessive amount of electronics, and the lighting in the bathroom was ideal for makeup. I even commented to my friend about the room being comfortable, quiet, and the perfect temperature throughout our stay.
The Food
The hotel has a wide array of food and drink options. I can honestly say there wasn’t a thing we tried that didn’t love!
Bar Collins: After a long day of travel on Friday, we opted for the restaurant inside the hotel. It’s just a few steps from the lobby and is designed to the nines. Each table looks like it’s own upscale dining area with most of the seats being made up of chic couches and arm chairs. The outdoor dining area (pictured above) is where we ate the first night. The light background music and faint sound of the outdoor fountains provided a pleasant ambiance. Our food was so delicious, we chose to eat here each night of our stay. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it now!
Miami Joe Coffee Co.: My favorite morning coffee stop. I consider myself self-proclaimed vanilla latte connoisseur and thought theirs was top-notch. I’m disappointed I didn’t try one of the smoothies or ice creams but I’ll be sure to the next time I’m there! They both looked amazing.
Preston’s Market: The hotels ultimate buffet breakfast spot which serves both a la carte breakfast and individually wrapped goodies. While I didn’t get a chance to have breakfast here, I took a quick peek one morning and everything looked delicious.
Nautilus Pool Bar & Grill: The poolside bar makes the most delicious drinks. I was hooked on the watermelon mojitos – they were just too good! I stayed hydrated with a coconut water (served fresh in a coconut) during a long pool day in the sun and snacked on some guacamole & wings.
Lure Fishbar: Sadly the Lure Fishbar was closed during my stay. It’s open now and if it’s anything like the other options the hotel has to offer, it’s worth checking out!
The Property
The Loews Miami Beach Hotel property is stunning. The hotel screams elegance and boasts a “wow factor” from moment you pull in the front entrance.
Location: A beachfront property in the heart of Miami’s south beach art deco district. The pool area gates at the back of the property exit onto the Miami Beach Ocean walk which is perfect for a morning run or a scenic walk. Just across the walkway was a path to the beach!
Pool: The pool area is normally my favorite place to hang out when I’m on vacation – and the Loews pool is fabulous. We booked a daybed at the SOAK pool club one day which I highly recommend. Our server was always close by if we needed anything and super friendly. It was really nice to be in a secluded section of the pool area and feel like you have your own space. When we decided to take a dip in the pool, the unique layout and size of the pool made it easy to find an area away from others.
Staff: All of my interactions with the staff members were very pleasant. They were friendly and attentive, plus they were really fun to talk to! I never felt like I was inconveniencing them or that they were busy/overwhelmed (I think this happens a lot at hotels).
Beach: One of my favorite things about a beachfront resort is watching the sunrise and sunset. I woke up every morning during my stay to see the sunrise over the water while I sipped on my morning latte – it’s the most peaceful way to start your day. I loved the iconic South Beach lifeguard stands with the unique designs and bright colors being close-by. The hotel has a large designated area with a ton of beach chairs, beach activities, and waiters so you don’t have to run back and forth!
Other: Check in/out were both fast and easy. The texting service is convenient if you need anything. The elevators are speedy and their are enough to normally have your own. Covid-19 protocols are in place and the cleanliness of the hotel makes you feel at ease.
